Diana Rasina’s musical path begins in her native Romania with classical singing. In Vienna she studies jazz, vocal pedagogy and Romance studies.

Artistically, she is active in various projects – with a particular focus on global music and jazz. On the one hand, she brings to a wider audience the vocal treasures of different singing traditions – especially from Romania. On the other hand, she weaves diverse musical genres, cultures and improvisation into new and fascinating soundscapes.

Her albums Romanian Tales and Romance were both released by Galileo Music and each was nominated for the German Record Critics’ Award. Diana Rasina is currently working on her third solo album featuring her own compositions.

In addition to her artistic work, Diana Rasina also teaches voice and conducts choirs. For her commitment to intercultural dialogue through music, she was awarded the title Ambassador for Peace.
